Microrrelato #3

Argumentum Scachisticum

Microrrelato #2

Microrrelato / Flash tale

Flash tale #1
Here they come. Faster than sound, I’ll not get to hear the discharge.
Rookie’s one is blank, good for him. Mustache has failed, fuck off bastard.
What a bummer.
I should had let’em blindfold me.

Sometimes my mind wanders alone and invents things like this one above. It often happens in the shower. Sometimes (a few) I reach the paper before Ive forgotten them.
Sometimes mi hand wanders alone and invent things like this one below. My head goes on one side and my  the pen (brush in this case) on nother , they run into each other but don't walk together. The drawing is the page 98 of my everyday sketchbook.

Doodled people

On february 2008 I started a sketchbook just for doodles. Almost 2 years and 167 pages after it's finished. Through all this time I've filled it with many weird scribbles, some zenish improvisations, abstract (and non) ideas, many non ideas at all that kind of purposeless stuff.

Doodles (english), garabatos (spanish), scarabocchi (italian), gargots (catalan), rabiscos (portuguese), griffonages, or gribouillis (french), gekritzel (german), каляки-маляки / kalyaki-malyaki or каракули / karakuli (russian), krabbel (dutch), draskulki/драскулки or draskanitzi/драсканици (bulgarian).
New languages are welcome.

Crowd & snake v.1 (doodle)

I started this in november on a train between Lyon and Clermont-Ferrand and finished it on the way back. I put some watercolor while waiting on the airport. It has something to do with this, apart that both started as non planned doodles and suddenly found their way.

Old Diary

Some days ago I found this pages in an old 2004 diary. After the oldies of the previous post, here I am again scratching he bottom of the barrel.
Not a so fertile season.

This is a particular doodles page since I tried to draw just faces. When I lost count there were more than 50 (many of them are really hidden).

These are sketches for a character I was working on in 2004...

...and this is just a page of doodles.

Oldies

Some new old drawings:

This was made about 1984 and it's one of my very few brush drawings before... 2008!

These 4 pages of doodles were made about january 1993.
I remember those were really happy days.

This was drawn on march 1997 on a trip to Bologna.
At that time I didn't know that 4 years after I'd move to live less than 2 km far from this park.

Blue & Green

On a recent post I talked about my attraction/fear about brushes and how Enrique Flores had helped me to go ahead. We met three weeks ago, and from then on I haven't stopped drawing straight with the brush. Here is my first complete sketchbook made walking on the wild side.

This was actually a Canson sketchbook which cover got torn. I made a new one with an old folder, and since it was blue and green I decided to draw just in blue and green. I filled a Niji brush with Parker blue ink and a Tria brush with Parker green and made all the sketches from nature or from TV. I started it saturday, april 19 and finished yesterday. Never drawn this fast.
Maybe for all you brush addicts this is trivial, but I've been always glued to fine liners and this is been for me like bungee jumping. Woah!

Garabatos

"Garabatos" (in english it sounds more or less like gah-rah-báh-tohs) is a wonderful spanish word that corresponds to doodles in english, scarabocchi in italian, gargots in catalan, rabiscos in portuguese, griffonages or gribouillis in french, gekritzel in german, rabbel in norwegian, and каляки-маляки (kalyaki-malyaki) or каракули (karakuli) in russian. (New languages are welcome). Some weeks ago I decided to open a sketchbook just for garabatos. After deep reflection and using all my originality, creativity and fantasy, I entitled it "Garabatos". It is the 5th sketchbook I have in this moment. The others are the Big Partner and the Little Partner that suply most of my posts and are the only that I carry with me, Skeched Memories and DOACK.
Here are the first entries.
