De vuelta al verdadero Hangar 51

Muebles Ram

Back to the real Hangar 51
It's been a couple years since we came to Muebles Ram for the first time. It doesn't appear in the tourist guides (thank goodness!) but is one of the most fascinating places in Barcelona and is the place where the Ark Dr. Jones brought was actually put away (the final scene of the movie was just to mislead). The problem is that no one can find it now. But it is here. I know. Here's everything.
This time I was late and only had about an hour to draw. When the place closed and we were graciously invited to leave, I had almost ended the line work, and only left the little glasses of the disco ball and the basket rushes to do. I took a picture and colored it at home. I don't use to add color so carefully but this time I thought it was worth.

Set decoration warehouse (or so)

Some weeks ago I went with Lapin, Sagar and Pierre Amoudry to visit (and draw of course) one of the most amazing and weird places I've ever seen. Imagine an enormous 3 flat building full –I mean full as a can of sardines– of everything you could ever need for every kind of movie or stage set, from any sort of furnishing or lamp, to ancient maps, army radios, butcher knives, paper dolls, venetian masks, torture tools, musical instruments, chinese umbrellas, hats, stoves, umbrellas, tackles, coffins... absolutely everything!
I still wonder how could they know where any item (let's say) could be when they rented their stuff for films such as Biutiful or Vicky Cristina Barcelona.
