Me tomé un improbable carpaccio scottato (no pude evitar saciar mi curiosidad) que resultó ser lo que me imaginaba: un carpaccio hecho con la carne pasada por la plancha y con el parmesano fundido encima en vez de todo crudo. Jamás supe de esta cosa en los nueve años que viví en Italia y mira por donde, acabo por descubrirlo al otro lado del mar.

The last nigh in Santo Domingo we had dinner in an italian café, for what we saw, plenty of tourists and some poshy dominicans. I thought it was curious to go across the world to finish on a place like this (the reasons to go there are another story).
I took an unlikely carpaccio scottato (I couldn't avoid to fulfill my curiosity) which happened to be what I've imagined: a carpaccio made with the meat ironed and the parmesan melted over, instead of everything raw. I never new about this stuff in the nine years I lived in Italy and I finished discovering it beyond the sea.
