M. takes his paints and his threads...

...and he waves a pattern all of his own.
(Just to go on with Andrea's game).
I've just tried to fill a page omiting recognizable elements and with a certain balance of black and white. I could have entitled it "Composition #19" or "Black & White mud fighting", or just "Untitled", and then someone could have considered it a piece of whoknowswhat and buy it for many, many hundreds and sell it for many, many thousands, but the real truth is that this is a simple, quiet, relaxing load of doodles.

You can see it even bigger here.

  1. Increible Miguel! Qué paciencia la tuya, pero imagino que fue disfrutando al máximo. Algunos arabescos tienen algo de Miró, no? Muy bueno!!

  2. Way cool! From a distance it looks like a map of a futuristic city. (Why is it that my brain always wants to see something in images as this?) Looks like a lot of fun to do. :)

  3. He he! I like. I was, too, going to say something similar to Nina. Definately a map. Very effective anyway, and very neat too.

  6. Thank you everybody for your comments.

Martín: Si tienen algo de Miró por minimo que sea, ya me gustaría., aunque no se me pasó por la cabeza.
Nina, Andrea, Carol: I never thought of a map but you're right, I started to see somekind of aerial view when I was in the middle of the work.
Anyways the only conscious influence I had was the aboriginal art fram Australia (see here
    http://www.aboriginalartstore.com.au )

  8. I'm impressed with the choice of brown paper with black and white ink(?)...tells me it is purposeful doodling.
I got a hit of latin american influence...that's got some Spain in it, right?!

  9. Rah, thank you for your comment. Oviously there must be a latin or spanish influence because of my origin, but I didn't feel in consciously.
As I said on other message, the only conscious influence I had was the aboriginal art from Australia (see here
http://www.aboriginalartstore.com.au ). As you see, a not so closer influence.

  10. OMG, this is the coolest thing! I got lost in the drawing for a bit. Yes, a map ... and yes, aboriginal art ... but small too, like a microscopic view. :) Thanks for the experience Miguel!

  12. This is so cool! The smaller one looks like the aerial view of a city. Sounds like you had great fun creating it. Nice work!
